Taste
Taste
Love -
It tastes just like the laughter
Of the wind at the crack of dawn;
It tastes of a crisp winter
Snuggled up in a warm bed;
It tastes of the fire
That burns in one's desires;
And tastes of a long-due kiss
Lingering on rosy lips.
Life -
It tastes of a thousand colours
That burst in a single morning dew;
It tastes of the sunshine
That burns snow-white skin;
It tastes of a long-forgotten cauliflower
Left in the back of the fridge;
And tastes of the memory
That feeds on our emotions.
Death -
It tastes of the dread
That everyone keeps in mind;
It tastes of the forgetfulness
Too absorbed in love for this life;
It tastes of a life
That has gone sour;
And tastes as fresh
As a newborn's breath.
We taste everything in Life
But somehow, somewhere we forget.
Can you taste it?
