rawr!
hoo boy, was i pissed off with the bus service today. had to reach eunos mrt station by 2.30pm to set up our stall for the darul maawa carnival tomorrow. decided to take bus 966 from my place cos it's faster. and do you know how long i had to wait for the *(%$%@)% bus? 45 loooooonng minutes!!! do i look like i have patience in me? NO! so the moment i got on the bus, i gave the driver a really good jeling. haha [ceh! macam dia takut!] it took all my nerves to stop me from swearing at him.
yeah, AND THEN, the bus was already crowded so i had to stand in my HEELS, carrying a HUGE board which was literally half my size under one arm, and an overstuffed plastic bag in the other hand. ok, so the fact that i had to suffer throughout the journey didn't really irk me. what really got me ticked off was the fact that the bus was full of healthy-looking, able-bodied mat surfers with their surfboards sitting down while all around me STANDING were old makciks holding on to their grandchildren and there was even a lady carrying her baby! and not one of those mats offered his seat. hello! if you have the strength to STAND UP on your surfboards riding the waves, surely you can lift your butt off the damn seats and give it those who need them more right?? can't you read the sign?
and what got me real pissed after that was when one passenger got up from her seat to alight and i was just about to motion to the lady carrying her baby to sit down there when this young, HEALTHY-LOOKING, ABLE-BODIED malay girl conveniently shoved and plonked her butt in that seat first. all i could do was look at the lady, and she shook her head and smiled.
gosh! what a buncha selfish people i met today. damn irritating! first the bus, then the mats, and then the girl! thank goodness the people at darul maawa were nice.
i never wish to encounter such behaviour EVER again.
ps: i had half a mind just now to write a letter of complaint to TIBS about the late bus, but nah. i'll let it pass. i won't be one of THOSE people.
