the beatles

just to make your day, i have a very selenger story to tell.

i was so excited this morning about my first day of second semester at school (yes i am that selenger). checked the timetable for monday: two lectures, 12 to 4pm. So i went to school early at 9am to print notes and slack around before going for my first lecture which was ST1232. i semangatly told everyone i was going to have my Human Anatomy lecture after that so that all my plans would only begin after 4pm.

and then, and then, i excitedly decided to plan with maymay to sit with her during anatomy lecture. and she said no, anatomy's lecture's tomorrow. so i said, no it's today. argue punya argue, we decided to check ivle and it turned out anatomy's lecture IS tomorrow. -_-

so now i hafta wait til 4pm before i can have some life cos i only made plans with people after 4pm. you know why? all because the timetable i checked WASN'T MINE!!!! it was suf's!! how pandai.

but it's ok. i am queen of idling-my-time-away i tell you.

i loooove the school's wireless.. so fast and efficient. great for my youtube fix! =)

i found suzanne vega's TOM'S DINER, ORIGINAL version. and it's like soooo sedapp. since i think blogger has something against me such that i've been unable to put up videos on my blog, shall just give you the link.

tom's diner - just her voice and a few fingersnaps. how fantastic. i wish all songs were like that.

and this is also a nice song: the blower's daughter recorded live.

anyway, i don't know anyone else in my generation who grew up listening to the beatles, but i did, so i'm recommending you guys to go to youtube, and search for the beatles. look up songs like michelle, hey jude, yesterday, you've got to hide your love away, eleanor rigby, in my life, and other great songs. just great for a first day at school when you can take time to chill and relax.. hehe.

for now, lemme leave with lyrics from hey jude:

Hey, Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey, Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better.

And any time you feel the pain, hey, Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
Well don't you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder

i think we all can definitely learn athing or two from this song =)

alright. have a nice day in school! (or at home, for some lucky souls whose lessons only start tomorrow)
