the moment i realized today that i was going to sit for sirah, yassin and arab exams, i knew i was officially entering crap-dom. and it was crap, unfortunately. once again relying entirely on my eenie-meenie-mynee-moe skills, i breezed through the MCQ part of sirah with splendid mouth-gaping, applause-worthy speed, despite not knowing any of the names mentioned there.
yassin part was a hoot. it was pretty okay, but there was one loony guy in the room [which our masjid tries to pass of as an auditorium, albeit a pathetically small and cold one that is] there who actually recited the yassin loudly, much to my entertainment. i mean, he's obviously an IMH resident. who in the world would recite loudly to let other people hear and copy? hmm.. maybe that WAS his intention. anyhoots, his dear friend shushed him up with a ,"eh diam lah, pandai".
i was sniggering away like hell.
arab was a kiler. i didn't even know the ustazah had taught us that much. and we were informed oh-so-sarcastically that the exams were of primary three level in a full-time madrasah. well thanks for helping us boost our confidence! at which one of my guy classmate replied, "oh patutlah senang macam ayam!".
oh my goodness. i feel terrible after yesterday. you see, 's' started getting weird on me, saying he wants to practise his 'speech' or summat. i immediately sensed a rat and said, "oh i'm not looking for one right now".
do you think that's evil? one of these days, i'm sure, i'll prolly get my heart broken in the exact same way. it's karma.
