for a few brief seconds
of freedom
that promises us
no boundless living.

your deceits come in
their multitudes
of years of vengeance
and ego trips
that peck like numerous
pigeons
on our window sills.

can you not get
that we will gladly shut
our ears from you
turn our heads to face
the Creator
and pray for
our boundless liberty?

to be rid of you
