valentines in age of commercialism
i think valentine's day is sooo totally over-rated. well for starters, it is a complete waste of money to me. and another thing, WHY must there be a specific date to celebrate loved ones? if i HAD a boyfriend, i'd make sure we don't celebrate valentine's day on valentine's day. why celebrate it on the same day as everyone and be ordinary? nay, nothing shall be ordinary about my love.
so, on the-over-rated-valentine's day, i'll be sitting for two tests. chem and bio. and unlike people who are grousing about the tests being held on valentine's day *yawn*, I'LL be doing some REAL complaining about the stupid school holding TWO MAJOR PAPERS on the same day. what are they? nuts. then afterwards, i'll prolly spend some tlc time with fanabanana and munibanini and i'll still have a wonderful time cos i'm one of those rare people who DON'T need someone of the opposite sex to make me loved or wanted. i AM already loved and wanted in my own way.
oh, mrs leow said something interesting about young people. she said we are at a stage when we want to rebel against everything in the world, yet a part of us still wants to pass exams. muahahaha. that is SO true.
